“John, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your support, efforts and hard work.  My faith in the trades has finally been renewed.
The eight of us decided to ask you to complete our fences because of the incredible work you did on a site nearby.  During your initial visit with me, you were kind enough to point out various flaws with my existing fence, which I as a homeowner would never had known to look for.  Your kindness and dedication saved me thousands of dollars.  This was particularly thoughtful, as it had nothing to do with you or the job in hand.  It was simply out of kindness that you pointed these out to me. Because of your honesty and care, I was able to contact the appropriate authorities and have it replaced while it was still under warranty.  During our dealings together, you have proven to be helpful and honest and have gone out of your way to assist me and my neighbours with various requests and concerns.
You recently completed the fence and the quality of work was incredible.  I was fortunate enough to be home while you were on site and it was nice to see such old fashioned values and dedication when it comes to your work.  I could not be happier with the job you have done and would gladly act as a reference for you, should you require it.  You have been wonderful to deal with and I thank you for your help and hard work.”
